NO CHKDSK OR FORMATTING: Never run repair utilities.
DO NOT OPEN COVER: Platter exposure ruins magnetic alignment.

Preservation Steps (DO THESE)
- Turn off power immediately upon hearing clicking/grinding sounds.
- Disconnect power cables from water/fire damaged systems.
- Note exact symptoms and error codes displayed prior to crash.
- Seal liquid-damaged drives in airtight bags to preserve status.
Critical Warnings (NEVER DO THESE)
- NEVER open hard drive metal casing outside an ISO Cleanroom.
- NEVER put drive in freezer or apply extreme heat.
- NEVER run automated CHKDSK, FSCK, or partition rebuilders.
- NEVER install recovery software directly on damaged drive.
